About this word search

Canoe slalom is raced on a white-water course where paddlers must pass through hanging gates, and Equestrian is one of the rare Olympic sports where men and women compete against each other on equal terms. Personal best and World record show the two scales every athlete measures against.

Expect reversed, upright, sideways and slanting entries all over this large grid. Opening ceremony and Olympic village are long enough to stretch well across a row. Look for the Q in Equestrian, the V in Velodrome and the J in Javelin and Judges.

Older students could research the motto of the modern Games and explain what each of its Latin words means.
