About this word search

Nippers are the junior members of surf lifesaving clubs, and many Australian children spend summer Sunday mornings learning beach safety and racing in the shallows. Goofy foot means riding with the right foot forward, and Hang ten is a longboard move where all ten toes curl over the front of the board.

Surf words in this eighteen by eighteen grid can paddle in any of eight directions, reversed included. Between the flags is the longest entry and appears as one string, BETWEENTHEFLAGS. The Z in Zinc cream, the double F in Offshore wind and the W in Wipeout and Undertow are good places to begin.

Use it on a rainy day at the coast or as a lead-in to a lesson about rip currents and how to stay safe.
