About this word search
Thanks is the word at the heart of this puzzle, and it gives a young child a natural moment to talk about what they are grateful for. Once it is circled, go around the table and let each person name one thing, big or small.
In the ten by ten grid, nothing slants and nothing is reversed. Pie, Corn and Fall are short and good to start with. Apple has a double p, which is a nice detail to point out while your child runs a finger along the row looking for it.
Afterwards, trace your child's hand on paper and turn it into a turkey, with a word from the list written on each finger.
