About this word search
Seeds is a good word to stop at. Plant a bean in a clear plastic cup with damp paper towel and set it on the windowsill, and over the next week your child can watch it split open and send out a root. Then come back to the puzzle and find Bud, the next step.
Each of the ten words lies in one row or one column, never on a slant. Sun, Bee and Bud are only three letters long, so they make a good warm-up. Chick and Tulip take a bit more patience, and an adult can help by naming the first letter.
To finish, draw a spring picture with a sun, a bird on its nest and a few tulips, and label each thing with its word.
