The Pond
Water lilies, a heron, and a punt boat. This is where you get to know the board.
The Word Path
No world map covered in stars, just a journey you can take at your own pace. The board grows with you, the landscape shifts beneath your feet, and every so often you'll find something unexpected waiting by the wayside.

The landscapes
Two hundred and fifty levels across eleven landscapes. The board grows as you wander, and each landscape has its own colour, sounds, and words.
1–26
Water lilies, a heron, and a punt boat. This is where you get to know the board.
27–45
Mossy rocks, a treehouse, and the first winding words among the ferns.
46–60
Rapids and an old watermill: the pace starts to pick up.
61–90
Open country, long afternoons, and boards that grow noticeably bigger.
91–105
Straight furrows and a picnic at the edge of the field.
106–125
A station, a signal box, and your first chain of words.
126–150
Still water, reflections, and shapes searching for their mirror image.
151–175
A campfire, fallen leaves, and the first evenings beneath canvas.
176–195
Foothills and a suspension bridge: the view opens up with every level.
196–200
Five levels above the clouds, with The Round World as the milestone.
201–250
Farmland gives way to the apiary. The final 25 levels unfold across the honeycomb.
The rhythm
The first board is six by six with three words. By the end, you'll be playing on an eighteen-by-eighteen board. The journey between them isn't a staircase but a steady breath: calm levels, then a burst, then calm again.
A larger board than the ones around it, or a special that turns the rules upside down. After that, you settle back into the usual pace.
A new puzzle book appears on the shelf: seventy-five levels built around one way to play, ready for a separate wander.
Blitz at 50, The Sketchbook at 100, The Blueprint at 150, The Round World at 200, and the honeycomb finale at 250.
Along the way
There's always something new happening across two hundred and fifty levels. These are the moments you'll remember, with the rest of the path unfolding between them.
The first word that doesn't travel in a straight line. From here on, you know the board can do more than it lets on.
Your first puzzle book appears on the shelf. Fifteen icy levels to wander through on their own.
The first milestone, and the only one that asks you to hurry. From here on, every fifth level is a special.
Twelve travel memories on a single twelve-by-twelve board. A chance to look back on one hundred levels.
You get the plan, not the words. Think before you search, halfway along the path.
The board has no edges anymore: words leave one side and come back in on the other.
The final fifty levels unfold across the honeycomb. At 250, the sketchbook brings the journey to a close.

Each language has its own Word Path, with its own words and colour: the IJ colour for Dutch, a different shade for Swedish. The path is completely free in your own language. In every other language, the first twenty-five levels are free to play.
