About this word search
Lion, Bear, Seal and Tiger are animals many children know long before they visit a zoo, which gives them a head start with the reading. Llama and Hippo add a bit of fun, since the names sound good when said aloud.
Nothing in this zoo grid goes backwards or on a slant. Read the words together before you start, then search for one first letter at a time. Llama starts with a double L, an easy thing to look for. Snake and Zebra both have five letters.
In the car on the way to the zoo, children can tick off each animal in the puzzle, and then again when they see it for real.
