About this word search
Zebra and Panda are easy to picture in black and white, which makes a nice game before the puzzle. Ask your child which other animals on the list have stripes, and the Tiger usually comes up first.
In the ten by ten grid, words only run to the right or downward. Help your child read a name, spot its opening letter somewhere in a row, and check whether the next letters carry on rightward or underneath.
At the zoo, keep the sheet in a bag and tick off each animal you actually see. If one is missing, that opens a nice talk about where it lives in the wild.
