About this word search
Soccer has its own vocabulary, and older fans will know most of it. A Winger plays along the sideline, the Captain wears the Armband, and Extra time is added when a knockout game is still tied after ninety minutes.
Every direction counts on this eighteen by eighteen board, backwards included. Centre circle, Penalty spot and Championship are long and make good starting points. Then search for rare letters: the Y in Yellow card and Volley, the K in Kickoff and Hat-trick.
For a team party or a long bus ride to a tournament, give each player a copy and see who finds Mascot and Trophy first.
