About this word search

Hat-trick originally came from cricket, where a bowler who took three wickets with three balls in a row was said to have earned a new hat. A Clean sheet means a goalkeeper conceded no goals, and Injury time is the extra time added at the end of a half.

With all eight directions possible over eighteen squares, start with Centre circle and Penalty spot. Centre is the British spelling. The double L in Yellow card and the double B in Dribble are useful clues.

For fans who know their football, try a follow-up quiz: one person describes a word from the list without saying it, and the others guess.
