About this word search
A Five hole is the gap between a goalie's pads, and a Deke is a fake that sends a defender the wrong way. A Playoff beard comes from the tradition of players not shaving until their team is out of the playoffs.
Every direction is fair in this eighteen by eighteen grid, backwards included. Faceoff circle and Shoulder pads are the longest. Then look for rare letters: the K in Deke, Backhand and Stick tape, or the Z in Neutral zone.
Ask the hockey fans at the table to explain Icing to a newcomer. It is called when a player shoots the puck from their own side of the centre line across the far goal line and nobody touches it.
