About this word search
Cleats is the Canadian word for soccer shoes, and it is a good one to point at when your child laces up for practice. Pass and Shoot are actions, so try them out with a real ball before you read.
Words on this little field only move two ways, toward the right like a pass up the wing, or downward like a ball dropping into the net. Read each one together, look for its first letter, and follow the line. Field and Shoot are the longest, so they make easy first finds.
Afterwards, set up two shoes as a goal in the backyard and take turns scoring, calling out a word from the puzzle with every shot.
