About this word search

The Capybara is the largest rodent in the world, the Lemur lives in the wild only on Madagascar, and no lizard alive today grows bigger than the Komodo dragon. Words like Conservation and Habitat show what modern zoos see as their job: protecting animals that are rare in the wild, such as the Snow leopard and the Red panda.

Twenty-eight entries are spread over the board, some reversed, some slanted, so a plan helps. Butterfly house and Reptile house both end in the same five letters, so finding one can point you to the other. Then use the double B in Gibbon or the double L in Wallaby.

Older children can choose one animal and write a short sign for its enclosure, covering where it lives in the wild and what it eats.
