About this word search

Several words here carry a bit of history. A Fortnight is two weeks, shortened from fourteen nights, and Australians still use it all the time for pay and bin collection. The winter Solstice falls in June here, when the days are at their shortest.

Every direction is in play, backwards too. Public holiday, School holidays and Leap year are printed without spaces. Millennium, with its two pairs of doubled letters, is a sensible first target before the shorter words.

Older students might then build a timeline of a typical year that uses Season, Birthday, School holidays and Public holiday.
