About this word search

Australian music classes use the British names for note lengths, so Crotchet, Quaver and Semibreve are on the list rather than quarter note and whole note. They often trip students up the first time, which makes this grid handy revision before a theory test.

Words run forwards, backwards and on both diagonals. Glockenspiel and Xylophone are the long ones, and the X makes the second easy to spot. French horn, Treble clef and Double bass are each printed without a space.

The Ukulele and the Recorder are probably the instruments students know best from class, so a follow-up could be a short piece played on one of them at the Tempo marked on the page.
