About this word search

Mangetout is French for eat everything, a sensible name for a pea you eat pod and all. Swede is short for Swedish turnip, and Samphire grows on salt marshes along the coast.

Brussels sprout and Butternut squash are the longest entries and lose their spaces in the grid. With all eight directions in play across eighteen squares, they make the best starting points. The K in Kohlrabi and Pak choi helps too. Okra and Kale are short and take longer.

For a cookery class, ask each pupil to choose three words from the list and come up with a dish that uses all of them.
