About this word search

A Larder is a cool room or cupboard for storing food, common in houses before fridges were. The Pestle and Mortar, here as two separate words, go back thousands of years and are still used for crushing spices and herbs.

With eighteen squares a side and all eight directions, start with Food processor and Measuring jug. Knead begins with a silent K, which is easy to forget while searching. The W in Microwave and Dishwasher is another good anchor.

For a cookery class, ask pupils to mark which tools they would need to make a simple loaf of bread, starting with Mixing bowl and Knead.
