About this word search

Empathy is the ability to understand someone else's feelings, and it differs from sympathy, which means feeling sorry for them. Homesick, Overwhelmed and Restless are useful words for children going on a residential trip or starting a new school.

Enthusiastic and Embarrassed are long. Embarrassed is a famous spelling trap, with a double R and a double S. With words in all eight directions across eighteen squares, those two are good anchors.

For a PSHE lesson, sort the list into comfortable and uncomfortable feelings, then talk about which ones can be both, such as Excited and Restless.
