About this word search

Older children often know they feel bad without knowing exactly how. Words like Overwhelmed and Frustrated give them a more precise way to say it, and Hopeful and Determined describe the way back up.

On this eighteen by eighteen board, any direction is possible, mirrored and slanted words included. Enthusiastic and Embarrassed are long and good to start with. Then try the rare letters: the J in Joyful, the double R in Embarrassed and Worried, the K in Homesick.

In a guidance session or at home, students can pick three words and write a short journal entry about a time they felt each one.
