About this word search
Anxious and Worried look like twins, but many people use them differently: worry tends to have a clear target, while anxiety can hang around without one. Guilty and Embarrassed are another pair worth comparing, one about what you did, the other about how others saw it.
Words may run backwards or slant in this eighteen-row grid. Short entries such as Hurt, Upset and Bored take the most effort, because nothing about their letters stands out. Embarrassed, with its double R and double S, is easier.
Middle school teachers can turn the list into a journal prompt: describe a day that started with one word and ended with another, such as Grumpy at breakfast and Satisfied by bedtime.
