About this word search

Four English composers stand among the Russians and Italians in this list: Purcell, Vaughan Williams, Holst and Britten. Purcell was writing music for the royal court in the seventeenth century, and Holst is best remembered for The Planets.

The rest of the list reads like the markings on a score. Pianissimo asks for very soft playing, a Crescendo for a gradual swell, and the Libretto holds the words the singers sing in an opera or an Oratorio.

Every direction counts in this eighteen by eighteen grid, diagonals and reversed words too. ROYALALBERTHALL and VAUGHANWILLIAMS are fifteen letters each and make a good start. Rondo, Fugue and Canon are short and easy to miss, so tick them off as soon as you spot them.
