About this word search
Many farm animals have names with three or four letters, which suits children who are just starting to read. Cow, Pig, Hen, Egg and Mud are about as easy as words get.
Before searching, read each word and make the sound the animal makes, or find it in a picture book. Then look for the first letter and follow it either to the right or down. Nothing else is possible in this grid, which keeps the search simple.
After a farm visit, the ten words are a good way to talk through the day. Ask which animal was the loudest and which one was the muddiest.
