About this word search
Fish, Crab, Seal and Shell are among the first sea words a small child learns, often from a day at the coast or a picture book about rock pools.
Eel and Ray have just three letters, which makes them easy to read and surprisingly hard to find. Help your child look along each row from the left and down each column from the top, since those are the only two directions used. Shark and Whale are longer and stand out more.
Afterwards, sort the ten words into animals and things, then draw an underwater scene with each one in it.
