About this word search

Blackbeard, the most famous pirate of the American coast, ran his flagship Queen Anne's Revenge aground off North Carolina in 1718. Divers found the Shipwreck in 1996, and cannons and other objects from it are now on display in museums in the state.

BURIEDTREASURE and DESERTISLAND are among the longest strings in this eighteen-row grid, and like the others they can run backwards or slant. Doubloon and Rigging have doubled letters that help you confirm a find.

A Sea shanty was a work song, its steady beat helping sailors haul on the ropes together. Older kids can listen to one and count how many words from the list turn up in it.
