About this word search

The Glass slipper, the Fairy godmother and the Pumpkin coach all come from the French Cinderella written down by Charles Perrault in 1697. In the older German telling, a tree and a flock of birds do the helping instead.

Joined strings such as FAIRYGODMOTHER, SPINNINGWHEEL and SLEEPINGBEAUTY are the easiest anchors in the eighteen-row grid. Words can face any direction, backwards included. Ogre is the shortest entry and the one most people find last.

Older readers can match each word to its story, then look for the odd ones out. Unicorn and Goblin belong to folklore in general rather than to one famous tale, which makes a good point to discuss.
