About this word search
Every word on this list has three or four letters, so a child who knows the alphabet but is still sounding words out can read most of them alone. Bee and Egg both end in a double letter, which makes them easier to spot.
Words in this ten by ten grid go only two ways, rightward and downward. Put a finger on the first letter together and slide it one square at a time until the word appears.
Take the page into the backyard afterward. Count the legs on an Ant if it will stand still long enough, and check whether a Moth or a Fly lands nearby. A child who has just found the word will be glad to see the real thing.
