About this word search
Ant, Bee and Fly are tiny words for tiny creatures, and Bug is the word many children use for all of them. Moth and Wasp are a step up, with four letters each and sounds that are a bit harder to blend.
All the words in the ten by ten grid go left to right or top to bottom. Pick a word, find its first letter, then see if the next letters follow along the row or down the column. Short words sometimes look as if they are there when they are not, so check every letter together.
Afterwards, count the legs on a picture of an ant. Six is a fact most young children love to repeat.
