About this word search
Hot and Cold make a nice pair to talk about, and so do Rain and Snow. Young children can feel the difference long before they can read it, which gives these ten words something real to hang on.
Each word reads rightward or downward in the small grid, and that is all. Read the list aloud together first. Then let your child pick a word, find its first letter and follow it.
Afterward, make a simple weather chart for the week with a picture for each day: a sun, a cloud, a snowflake. Your child can copy the matching word under each picture.
