About this word search
Five and six year olds know birthdays well, even before they can read. Cake, Candle and Wish come with a story they already understand, which makes this a nice puzzle on the day itself or the week before.
Help your child find the starting letter, then follow it to the right or downward. No word in this grid goes any other way. Balloon is easy to check once found, with its pairs of L's and O's side by side.
After the puzzle, ask them to count the candles on their own cake and draw that many in the corner of the page.
