About this word search
Summer break is long, and not every day is sunny. On a rainy afternoon, these ten straight words give a young child a reason to sit down at the table for a few quiet minutes.
Read the list together first: Sun, Hot, Hat, Ice. Many of the words are three letters long and look a lot alike, so trace each one with a finger, always to the right or downward, and say it again once it is found.
Hat and Hot differ by one letter. Asking which is which is a quiet first lesson in reading carefully, and a good joke to share at the pool later.
