About this word search
Map is a word young children rarely see on paper, yet it is part of every family trip in some form. Showing them a real map, or one on a phone, before the puzzle gives the word some meaning.
All ten words are short and sit in straight lines, reading rightward or downward. Point out that Sea and Sun both begin with S, then let your child work out which S belongs to which word.
In the car, play a quick game afterward. Whoever sees a Boat, a Tent or a Hotel out the window first gets to call it out.
