About this word search
Young children can learn a lot of geography from a globe they can spin. These ten words, from Sea and Lake to Cave and Island, are the basic shapes of land and water they will see on it.
The words stay in straight rows and columns, never slanted or backwards. Map and Sea are only three letters, while Island and River take a bit more looking. Point to the first letter, then follow the line with a finger to check the rest.
Afterward, look at a map together and find a lake, a river and an island. If you live near water, a walk to see one in person is even better.
