About this word search
Car, Bus and Taxi are words most young children hear on the street every day, which gives them a head start. Before searching, say each word and make the matching sound, a beep for Car or a choo-choo for Train.
The ten words are laid out in plain rows and plain columns, read the ordinary way. Jet, Van, Bus and Car are only three letters, so find the first letter and then slide a finger along to check the rest. Train is the longest word at five letters.
Out on a walk or a drive, try spotting each vehicle from the list in real life and checking it off on the sheet.
