About this word search
A first visit to a national park is full of new words. Bison, Elk and Bear are animals a child might see from a safe distance, and a Trail, a Lake and a Tree are part of every walk.
All the words are straight, in rows or in columns. Elk and Map are only three letters, and Bison and Trail are the longest at five. Read each word aloud first, then trace the line with a finger.
Afterward, ask your child to draw the animal they would most like to see on the trail, and talk about why we keep our distance from it.
