About this word search
A beach day is full of things a young child can name: Sand between the toes, a Shell in the hand, a Crab scuttling sideways. These ten words are short and familiar.
Only rows and columns are used, so there is no need to look on a slant. Sea and Sun have three letters, while Shovel is the longest at six. Name the words together, then hunt them down in any order your child likes, finger on the first letter.
Back on the towel, try a beach treasure hunt: find a shell, a wave and something that starts with S.
