About this word search
Map, Sea and Sand are three letters each, easy for a first reader. Hill, Lake and Cave are words children can link to places they have been.
Every word runs to the right or downwards. Island has a silent S, which is worth pointing out. Ocean and Globe are five letters. Say each word together before the hunt begins.
Afterwards, spin a globe and stop it with a finger. Talk about where the finger landed, on sea, ocean or land, and find the nearest island.
