About this word search

The Spirit bear is a black bear with white fur that lives on the rainforest coast of British Columbia, and it is the province's official mammal. The Pronghorn of the southern prairies is the fastest land animal in North America. The Fisher, despite its name, belongs to the weasel family and hunts mostly on land.

Every direction is in play on this eighteen by eighteen board, reverse and diagonal included. Woodland caribou and Monarch butterfly are long enough to find first. Then use rare letters: the X in Muskox and Arctic fox, the K in Muskrat and Sockeye salmon, the double P in Spring peeper.

For a class unit on habitats, sort the animals into Arctic, ocean, forest and prairie, then talk about the ones that could belong in two places.
