About this word search

The Tamarack is a conifer that loses its needles every fall after they turn gold, which surprises people who assume every needle tree stays green. The Trillium, with its three white petals, is the provincial flower of Ontario. Paper birch is easy to recognize by its white bark, which peels off in thin sheets.

Twenty-eight forest names fill the board, and they may run upside down, backwards or on a diagonal as easily as straight. White-tailed deer is the longest, so it makes a good starting point. After that, try the K in Park warden and Tamarack, or the Y in Canopy and Canada jay.

Someone heading to a provincial park could do this the night before, then try to spot five of the words on the trail. A Chipmunk and some Lichen are a safe bet.
