About this word search

Wind chill is part of almost every Canadian winter forecast, a figure that tells you how cold it feels on exposed skin. Temperatures here are given in Celsius, which is why Celsius and Degrees sit on this list beside the Thermometer and the Barometer.

Words in the eighteen by eighteen grid can face any way at all, backwards and slanted included. Meteorologist and Thunderstorm are the longest, so start there. Then look for rare letters: the double Z in Blizzard, the Z in Heat haze and the Y in Typhoon and Humidity.

Older students could keep a short weather journal for a week, using three words from the list each day, such as Overcast, Humidity or Gust, and compare their notes with the official forecast.
