About this word search

Hedgehogs are on this list, but they do not live in the wild in Canada. They are native to Europe, Asia and Africa. A Garden gnome, a Bird feeder and a Sunflower are much more likely in a Canadian backyard, along with the Ladybug and the Bumblebee.

Vegetable patch and Stepping stones are among the longest entries. Start with them, then look for the double l in Trellis and the K in Hanging basket. Words run in all eight directions, backwards included.

For a gardening club or a science class, students can sort the words into tools, plants and animals, and add a few more of their own.
