About this word search

Garter snake is one of the most common snakes in North American yards, harmless to people and helpful in a garden because it eats slugs and insects.

All eight directions are allowed in this grid. Vegetable patch and Stepping stones are long anchors, and Hanging basket and Garden gnome are written without spaces too. Look for the W in Trowel, Weeds and Earthworm, then the double L in Trellis.

Keen gardeners can sort the list into living things and things people build. Compost heap and Bird bath make it harder than it seems.
