About this word search
Silly and Brave are two good words to talk about with young children, because they are feelings to enjoy and be proud of. Mad, Sad and Shy are short and easy to read, and Glad is a softer word for happy.
Nothing in this ten by ten grid sits on a slant, and nothing is backwards: each feeling reads the normal way or hangs from the top. Read a word together, ask your child to show that feeling with their whole body, slumped shoulders for Tired perhaps, and then look for its first letter.
Afterwards, draw three faces on paper plates and write a feeling under each one. Hang them by the door so your child can point to how they feel on the way out in the morning.
