About this word search
Swing, Slide and Sand are things a child touches at the park, and Hop and Tag are games they can play straight away. Talk about which ones they like best before the search.
Nothing here goes on a slant or backwards: a word either runs toward the right or slides downward like a kid on a slide. Swing, Slide and Sand all begin with S, so when your child spots that letter, peek at the one after it before deciding which word it is.
Then go outside and play a round of Tag, or draw a hopscotch grid with Chalk on the driveway and hop through it together.
