About this word search
Kick, Pass and Win are the language of every Saturday morning game for the under sixes, so a young player who has never read them will still recognise the meaning straight away.
The grid keeps things simple: rows and columns only, no slopes and no reversed spellings. Net and Win, with only three letters, are a good starting point. For Boots and Shoot, look for the double O first and then check the letters on either side.
Afterwards, take a ball outside and act out each word on the list, from a pass to a shot at goal. A pitch can be any patch of grass with two jumpers for goalposts.
