About this word search
A Troll under a bridge and a Giant at the top of a beanstalk are big characters for small readers, and both names are easy to sound out. Ask your child which characters on the list are kind and which ones cause trouble, and listen to the reasons.
These ten words follow just two paths, the way a line of a storybook reads or down from the top of the page. Say each one aloud together, then hunt for its first letter and trace the rest with a fingertip.
At bedtime, choose a story with one of the characters from the list and stop to point at the word whenever it appears in the book.
