About this word search

The Royal Easter Show in Sydney runs for almost two weeks around Easter, with showbags, farm animals and the woodchop, and it gives this list one of its more local entries. Next to it sit Good Friday, Easter Monday and the Easter bonnet, the decorated hat that many primary schools still parade before the holidays.

So many entries begin with Egg or Easter that the grid gets confusing. Treat those words as one family: find each E, check which way the following letters run, including backwards and on the diagonal, and tick off the variants one at a time. Hatchling and Wicker basket are welcome breaks from the pattern.

Older children can copy the words onto paper eggs and use them as clues for a treasure trail over the long weekend.
