About this word search
On a cold June morning, getting dressed takes a little longer, and a Beanie, a Scarf and a Coat often become part of the routine. Those three are in this puzzle, along with Frost on the grass and a warm cup of Cocoa after school.
Children who are just starting to read can follow each row with a finger from left to right, then try the columns from the top down. Words never run any other way. Ice, Hat and Cold are short enough to sound out in one go, which makes them a gentle start.
When the page is done, lay out real winter clothes and match each item to a word.
