About this word search
Little ones rarely last until midnight, and that is fine. This short puzzle gives them their own part in the evening, with Bang, Rocket and Star for the fireworks and Hug for the moment everyone wishes each other a happy new year.
Look at the list together and read the words one at a time. Hat and Hug both start with H, which helps show that the first letter is only the beginning and the rest still needs checking. Each word heads rightwards in its row or downwards in its column, and nowhere else.
A paper clock with both hands pointing to twelve makes a good craft for afterwards.
