About this word search
Spring words are some of the first that young children can link to something real. A bee on a flower, a bird carrying twigs, rain on the window: most of these ten can be pointed at on the way to school.
The grid is ten by ten, and every word goes left to right or top to bottom. Start with Sun, Rain and Bee, which are short and familiar. Read each one out, find the first letter, and move a finger along to check the rest. Tulip and Seeds take a little longer.
Afterwards, plant a few seeds in a yoghurt pot on the windowsill and keep the finished puzzle beside it as a label.
