About this word search

Bluebonnet is the state flower of Texas, and in spring whole roadsides there turn blue. Dogwood blooms across much of the East and South around the same time. Both make this list feel rooted in North America, next to Daylight saving, which moves the clocks forward in March.

All eight directions are in play, including words that read right to left or bottom to top. Vegetable garden and Daylight saving are the longest and are written without spaces. Equinox gives you a Q and an X, two letters that rarely show up, so that one is quick to pin down.

Older students could sort the words into plants, animals and weather, then argue about where Spring break belongs.
