About this word search

A Ferret can sleep fourteen hours a day or more, and a wild Gerbil lives in the dry grasslands and deserts of Mongolia and northern China. A list that mixes animals like these with a Litter box and a Microchip suits older kids who have been asking for a pet and want to prove they know what it takes.

Words may point in any of the eight directions on this large board, reversed ones included. Two-word items are printed as one string, so look for HAMSTERWHEEL or SCRATCHINGPOST rather than a gap. Axolotl and Litter box are the only entries with an X.

Afterward, sort the list into three columns: the animal, its home and its care. Gerbil and Ferret go on the left, Kennel and Birdcage in the middle, Grooming and Obedience on the right.
